Shed Happens

SHED HAPPENS FOR MEN
100th Anniversary of ANZAC, Shed Night
About twenty-five  blokes from” The Hills area” regularly attend Shed Nights.
Shed Night in April included a tribute to Anzac led by  RSL President, Doug.  Parry.
Interviews included former Brigadier Mike Paramor AM  who  IS CEO of Greening Australia and earlier of  The Tattersall’s Club. He spoke about the campaign to introduce women as members of The Tattersall’s Club.Michael, with his wife, Rosie, are Gap residents.
Alan interviewed Chris McCarthy who saw active service with Interfet in East Timor. Chris shared how he met his now wife, Heather [They have three children],on the boat on their way from Darwin to East Timor. Chris is CEO of Hear and Say..We shall hear more about “HearandSay “when Founder Dr.Dimity Dornan AO, is interviewed at our Community Shed Night now planned for Thursday October 29 [Please note change of date].
MAY’S REGULAR Shed Night..is Wednesday May 20 and will feature interviews of Professor Alex Crandon, Gynaecological  Encologist, about his life work in medicine and surgery and his more recent ”pro bono” service with aboriginal communities in the Northern Territory , as well as Nathan Swaffer,  Chair of the Queensland Rover Scout Council, who will share something of the activities and service of Rover Scouts [18 to 26 year old young adults] in Queensland and internationally.
