On this national day of remembrance in Australia & New Zealand we remember all Australians & New Zealanders who served, died or were injured in all wars, conflicts and peacekeeping operations. This year has significant meaning being the 100th anniversary of the landing at Gallipoli. I feel more Aussies now hold dear & appreciate the significance of the freedoms & democracy we enjoy due to those who paid the supreme sacrifice. They helped build the great & multicultural nation that Australia now is.
Gaythorne RSL 2015 Anzac Day Service
I estimated that well over 10,000 folks paid their respects at a very professional service, that showed such great respect to all those who have served our Country. It was great to see the huge quantity of volunteer efforts such as; defense personnel, ex-army jeeps, army cadets, many school choirs, youth readings, a bugler & a poet all under the leadership of RSL Sub Branch President Merv Brown OAM. All who assisted are to be congratulated for their momentous efforts in this wonderful event. Mother Nature was also kind, giving us a beautiful day.
